Miracan walks into the tavern and heads to the bar, placing a small pouch down he motions towards the cups.

Blaze comes in shortly after and joins him at the bar.  Sensing something is off, she looks at him, cocks her head and frowns. “What’s up?”

Miracan places a small very thin piece of wood on the bar in front of Blaze.  “This is for the bird’s friend.”

Blaze picks up the wood and nods.  Looking at the wood, Blaze notice the ruins carved into what really appears to be a bookmark.  She smiles sadly and runs a finger across the letters. “I will give this to Wrenn.”

“I must go to help another.  He is being hunted for being free.”

Blaze closes her eyes and nods.  She knew this day was coming.

Miracan looks up and fondly watches a small spider spinning a web in the corner.

“You have the stone still?”

Miracan nods, “We can find each other.”

Blaze nods. “When are you …?” Blaze begins asking sighing as she trails off.

Miracan places a hand on Blaze’s shoulder and nods, “Soon…”

Blaze nods and says very softly, “I will miss you.”

Miracan pulls out a leather wrapped bundle and puts it on the bar. “This may help your metal friend with what he wants to learn.”

Blaze nods and whispers, “don’t make me cry Drow.”

Miracan nods then begins making a cup of tea.  Blaze nudges Miracan and nods to the tea.  He slides his cup towards Blaze then motions for another cup of hot water.

“Thank you.” Blaze takes a sip and looks over at the spider’s web “They really are beautiful.”

“Most are harmless and can actually help. He isn’t any danger to us.”

Blaze smiles, “Yes, still not my favorite creatures.”

Miracan looks intently at the spider for a moment then smiles slightly, “He won’t bother you.”

“No, he won’t. But then again … it’s not something I ever got used to having around. I know you can take care of yourself. But,” Blaze pauses, “we make a good team. Let me know if you,” she pauses again, “want help.”

Miracan nods. “I am just a stone’s throw away little flame.”

Blaze whispers to herself, “It’s not the same.”

Miracan begins adding his tea mixture to the hot water.  Blaze looks in her cup and swirls it around, “Regular tea just won’t be the same.”  Blaze turns at looks at Miracan, “sit by the fire with me for a bit before …”

Miracan nods and walks over to the fire leaving his tea pouch and bundle on the bar.

Blaze picks up her tea. She picks up the tea pouch and the pouch and put them in her bag. She curls up in the favorite chair by the fire across from Miracan.  “Do you know where the hunted one is?”

“Rumors”

Blaze nods, “You will find him.”

“Somebody will know.”

Blaze nods and watches Miracan.

Miracan watches the spider spinning its web in the corner of the rafters. “I may have somebody looking for me. I had asked for their help finding something.”

Blaze nods. “Will they ask for you?”

“You’ll know them.”

Blaze nods and sighs.  “We all have our place and our role to play.”

Miracan looks into his teacup, swirling the last around before taking a quick final swig.  He places the cup on the table and stands. Pulling a small moonstone from his pouch, he places it next to his cup. “Ravvit needs two eyes to watch our young friend.”  He nods to Blaze and walks towards her room to retrieve his bag.

Blaze looks at the moonstone says softly “Damn it Drow.”  She finishes her tea and stands, picks up the moonstone and puts it in her bag. She picks up Miracan’s cup and takes both to the bar.  Blaze pulls the moonstone, the bookmark and the woodworking tools from her bag and lays them on the bar.

Miracan comes back down the stairs and walks towards the front door.

Blaze steps in front of Miracan, “It is time?”

He nods. “For now, little one.”

Blaze reaches out and runs a finger over the gem in his hair. “Be careful please.”

Miracan nods, placing a hand on her shoulder, “We are bound.”

Blaze impulsively throws her arms around his neck and hugs him tight.  Miracan wraps one arm around her and lightly pats her back, “We will see each other again little one.”

Blaze lets go and nods, “I know we will. We are bound.”

Miracan nods one last time before going out the door and jogging to the tree line, disappearing into the brush.

Blaze listens to the door close not turning around, with tears in her eyes she whispers, “Damn you Drow. You made me cry.” She picks up the things off the bar and heads to her room.  She curls up in the chair in her room. Pulling the carved wyvern from her bag she absently runs a finger over it, blinking back tears.
