   And actually after watching the episode all the way thru… they were actually able to polish a turd. It was pretty interesting how they did it, gross, but interesting. Adam used a gloss meter to check to see if the turds were polished. Anything over 70 gloss unites would be considered high gloss. They turned the turds into a sphere with just water and turds using a japanese procedure (which normally uses dirt and water). Adam’s poo was … ostrich (after watching the episode again), he got a 104 on the gloss meter. Jamie used lion poo and got a 184 on the gloss meter – after burning off the hair. But… in keeping with the original theme of this post… the spheres were stinky and yucky. So, yes you can polish a turd, but yes, it’s still a turd.
