Gasoline Pricing

December 28, 2007 //  by editor

Here’s a question.  Why when the cost of a barrel of oil jumps up $4 does the cost of gasoline jump up the very next day by 50 cents?  And why when the cost of a barrel of oil drops $4 does it take 2 or 3 weeks for the price to fall maybe 6 cents?  Is there an explaination for this?

Circular Needles – ARGH!

December 28, 2007 //  by editor

Don’t you just hate trying to knit with circular needles?  Wouldn’t you just rather cram 200 stitches on straight needles?

Well until I discovered this trick – Me, too.  I was watching a DIY show called Knitty Gritty (http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dkng) and I found this tip.

Boil your needles and that will straighten out the cord.  There is one little thing though, don’t boil wooden or bamboo needles!  Just dip the cord in boiling water.  If you submerse the needles the finish probably will be damaged.  This is the voice of experience.  I got brand new bamboo needles, stuck them in the nuke chest (microwave) in a dish of water, the needle fell in and I had to rewax my needles.  Ugh!  But my cord is straight!

Eureka – Alienated

December 28, 2007 //  by editor

Ok.  Here’s my 1st continuity error.  When Carter, Lupo & Henry are looking for Spencer and they see the blood.  If he only cut one foot isn’t the blood awful close together?  And if he cut two… isn’t the blood too lined up?  Ok.  Just too much watching of Eureka!

Eureka

December 28, 2007 //  by editor

I am a big Eureka fan.  I remember when they were plugging the series.  I thought it looked interesting, but had potential to be dumb.  But boy was I wrong.  I have the DVD of Season 1 and pop it in the DVD player when ever I need a little back ground distraction.  In other words, I over watch Season 1.  Coming in following posts are things that I’ve found.  Continuity error and just other random stuff.  By the way… there are probably spoilers if you’ve never watched.
