{"id":8,"date":"2007-12-28T19:21:05","date_gmt":"2007-12-28T19:21:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/taciej.com\/blog\/?p=5"},"modified":"2007-12-28T19:21:05","modified_gmt":"2007-12-28T19:21:05","slug":"circular-needles-argh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taciej.com\/blog\/circular-needles-argh\/","title":{"rendered":"Circular Needles &#8211; ARGH!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t you just hate trying to knit with circular needles?\u00a0 Wouldn&#8217;t you just rather cram 200 stitches on straight needles?<\/p>\n<p>Well until I discovered this trick &#8211; Me, too.\u00a0 I was watching a DIY show called Knitty Gritty (http:\/\/www.diynetwork.com\/diy\/shows_dkng) and I found this tip.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Boil your needles and that will straighten out the cord.\u00a0 There is one little thing though, don&#8217;t boil wooden or bamboo needles!\u00a0 Just\u00a0dip the cord in boiling water.\u00a0 If you submerse the needles the finish probably will be damaged.\u00a0 This is the voice of experience.\u00a0 I got brand new bamboo needles, stuck them in the nuke chest (microwave) in a dish of water, the needle fell in and I had to rewax my needles.\u00a0 Ugh!\u00a0 But my cord is straight!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t you just hate trying to knit with circular needles?\u00a0 Wouldn&#8217;t you just rather cram 200 stitches on straight needles?
