The places are mostly real. However, the circumstanced are entirely FICTIONAL.\u00a0 And time is an illusion.<\/p>\n<p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n<p>Before we start \u2026 this was all Cheyenne.\u00a0 I just put some words around her ideas.<\/p>\n<p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n<p>Nick and Kyle looked at each other and then at Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShould we show them?\u201d Nick asked. Both Ryan and Kyle shrugged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey could be testers,\u201d Kyle suggested.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTesters of what?\u201d Mirjam asked excitedly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo ahead,\u201d Zach chimed in.<\/p>\n<p>Nick leaned over and pulled a long flat-ish rectangular box out of a bag.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat looks like a Monopoly box,\u201d LL said. \u201cAre we playing Monopoly IMA edition?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClose,\u201d Nick replied as he open the box. \u201cIt\u2019s Istoria: The Board Game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A collective \u201cOooo\u201d went up from the Bubbles Raiders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWait a minute. Is <em>THAT<\/em> Bubbles?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John, Kyle, Nick, Ryan and Zack just laughed.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ll never tell,\u201d said Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>Tacie looked over the top of her glasses at them.\u00a0 \u201cYet,\u201d added Kyle with a grin.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Let\u2019s play,\u201d Angela said. \u201cMaybe we can help work out any kinks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just a prototype,\u201d John said. \u201cRyan is still working on all the graphics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Skye, looked at the board Nick had pulled out of the box and asked, \u201cIs that the map that MistyBee drew for you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ryan nodded. \u201cWe had her modify it for the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt looks amazing,\u201d Cheyenne said tracing her finger over the Wildwoods. \u201cOooo and it had texture too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nick pulled the tokens out of the box and laid them on the table. \u201cThose are so cute!\u201d Mirjam gushed as she picked up one of the tiny pewter figurines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the Climbers!\u201d Tacie said picking up one of the other figures.<\/p>\n<p>The figurines were passed around as Kyle, Nick and Zach explained the rules of the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have an idea.\u201d Tasty suggested. \u201cSince there are too many of us, why don&#8217;t we split into teams. That way you guys can help lead us gals through the game.\u00a0 I\u2019ll sit out and watch and take notes on what things go right, what might need to be modified, and what really needs to be changed. And why.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou wouldn\u2019t mind?\u201d Kyle asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNope.\u201d Tacie, waving a dismissive hand. \u201cThat will give each player a coach. And you can let me know what happened and what you think should have happened as the game goes along.\u00a0 I brought my notebook,\u201d she said holding up a Companion Journal.<\/p>\n<p>The dice were rolled, play order was established and Zach said, \u201cLet the games begin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the game start, room service arrived with snacks and sodas. Angela shrugged and said &#8220;I thought we might need something to snack on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On her next turn, Cheyenne drew a card and read it aloud. \u201cYou didn\u2019t journal yesterday. Loose a turn to catch up on your goal.\u201d Everyone laughed.\u00a0 The next card drawn by Skye read \u201cyou finished your first act, move ahead 3 spaces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the game continued, there was much laughter and discussion of game play.\u00a0 There were suggestions for graphics and ideas to enhance game play.<\/p>\n<p>As a game came to a close the last section read, \u201cYou finished your journal 1<sup>st<\/sup>. You win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh!\u201d said LL. \u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s right. This isn\u2019t about finishing a journal. It\u2019s about finishing a quest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was just going to say that,\u201d Cheyenne said nodding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI agree too,\u201d Skye chimed in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will probably take most of us more than 1 journal to finish our quests.\u201d Angela stated.\u00a0 Everyone nodded in agreement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could change it to \u201cYew finished your quest 1st.\u201d Cheyenne suggested.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCelebrate with the next quester to finish,\u201d LL added.\u00a0 Everyone nodded some more.<\/p>\n<p>As the game ended, everyone was a little sad.\u00a0 Fun was had and much progress was made on the game, but it also meant that their time together was ending.\u00a0 Soon the Bubbles Raider would be flying home with their newfound knowledge of what Bubbles really was.<\/p>\n<p>Or was this another decoy?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Search for Bubbles Shall We Play a Game?
