Granted I do try to buy enough of the same dye lot to finish a project. But I usually say, if it looks the same then the dye lot isn&#8217;t too important.  That can be horribly wrong.<\/p>\n<p>The attached picture is Lily Sugar &#8216;n Cream Soft Violet.  They are both the same color, just different dye lots.  It is just a very graphic showing of how different dye lots can be.  In this case, the fact that they are different colors is fine. I actually wanted 3 different colors of purple for my project.  But if I was making something that required a consistent color &#8211; I would be in deep weeds!<\/p>\n<p>Here is a link to the pot holders I am making. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/TacieJ\/pot-holder---hot-pad-knit\">3 strand pot holder<\/a>.
