Doesn’t he have better things to do with his time?

Filed under: Mythbusters,politics,Random Thoughts,rants,TV general — TacieJ @ 7:57 pm

I won’t normally comment on politics.  It’s just way too easy to offend just about everyone with a simple statement like “In my opinion, the President was wearing an ugly tie today.”  Even though it’s my opinion, it just starts a flame war.  I just agree that I disagree with people and leave it at that.  I have my opinions on our government and I vote.  I work for a local government and I am an elected official.

Favorite Phrase

Filed under: humor,News,politics — TacieJ @ 11:54 am

I have a new favorite phrase.  “Sod off, Swampy”
from the OpinionJournal.com
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘Sod Off, Swampy,’ Says Cockney Barrow Boy Spiv
“When 35 Greenpeace protesters stormed the International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) yesterday they had planned the operation in great detail,” reports the Times of London:
What they were not prepared for was the post-prandial aggression of oil traders who kicked and punched them back on to the pavement.
“We bit off more than we could chew. They were just Cockney barrow boy spivs. Total thugs,” one protester said, rubbing his bruised skull. “I’ve never seen anyone less amenable to listening to our point of view.”
bin Laden Description
I found the following description of bin Laden amusing.  It is from When Will Obama Give Up the Bin Laden Ghost Hunt?
“Finally, there’s the mystery why bin Laden didn’t pop up during the election. You would think a narcissistic mass murderer who believes he has a place in history would find it impossible to pass up an opportunity to give his opinion at such a momentous time, at least dropping off a DVD at the al Jazeera office in Islamabad.”
Prediction
Filed under: politics — TacieJ @ 8:30 pm
You would think after working in local government for 10 plus years I’d be able to spell politics right on the 1st try.  You would be mistaken if you thought that.  BUT… that’s not the theme of this post.  Here’s my prediction.
At this point Obama is gaining strength every day and the Hill is loosing it.  1st, she will do EVERYTHING legal or illegal, ethical or unethical to get the Presidency.  She’s got to, she can’t be in the shadow of her husband all her life.  But that’s not my prediction either.  My prediction is that after Hillary looses the 2008 Democrat Primary to Obama, she and Bill will get divorced.  Not right after, but with in 5 years.  Politically neither will have much pull, she can’t win the Big Office and he’s just an aging Playboy.  She won’t need him and he doesn’t want her.  That’s just my prediction.
Politics & Shameless Plugs
Filed under: Kala-Rhythms,politics — TacieJ @ 6:13 pm
Ok.  Here’s another shameless plug for www.kalarhythms.org
I just wanted to get on record, before super Tuesday, what My beloved has been telling me for the last 4 years.  This election year was going to rock and roll.  (his time frame, my words).  He has told repeatedly that the 2008 election was going to very exciting because it’s in the cycles.  The most exciting since the 1960′s.  And looking at all the hoopla that we’ve been seeing, he’s been right.  So I figured since politics really is all about shameless plugs, I’d put my shameless plug in for www.kalarhythms.org   Go there, learn more.
